Internetstores AG runs the online shops “fahrrad.de” and “fitness.de” as well as their international counterparts “Bikester” and “Fitster”. Our turnover generated by the sales of bicycles, fitness equipment and accessories is 30 million Euros. We currently employ 110 people based in Esslingen and Stuttgart. In order to maintain our growth rate we will shortly require a competent new member of staff to join our young team. They must be familiar with the type of products we sell, and have relevant knowledge in this area.
The Internship would provide an insight into the different online marketing
departments at a specialist eCommerce company.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Channel Manager in their different tasks
- SEM/SEO for our online shops bikester.com/co.uk, fitster.co.uk, etc.
- Assistance in the setting up of new accounts for other online shops owned by Internet Stores AG
- Overseeing and defining URLs, Keywords and reporting on activities undertaken by competing companies
- Working with internal specialist departments (development, graphics, copy)
- Implementation of efficient working practices
- Supporting the team monitoring all important KPIs with the help of Searchmetrics Suite Ultimate
- Search optimisation (on and off page) in accordance with Google’s requirements
- Building of ‘link back’ structures within the bicycle industry and fitness industry (from hobby users sites, clubs, blogs, etc)
- SEO Analysing
- Etc.

The Ideal Candidate would be:
- Experienced in affiliate networking (affili.net, tradedoubler and zanox)
- Experienced with further SEO/SEM
- Basic knowledge of marketing
- Technical know how in conception and realisation of advertising material within strict timeframes
- Excellent MS Office skills, basic knowledge of HTML / PHP and Photoshop
What we expect from you:
- Language skills – English as your first language. German as a second language would be an advantage but is not essential
- Minimum of 6 months commitment
- Experience in SEO and / or SEM and / or Affiliate Marketing
- To locate in Esslingen am Neckar in Germany (close to Stuttgart)
- An affinity and / or specific technical knowledge of bicycles / fitness equipment would be an advantage.
